Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It seeks to release tension through firm finger pressure and can sometimes cause soreness for a day or two after treatment.
It is recommended for individuals that experience consistent pain or who engage in intense physical exertion – such as manual laborers or athletes
Deep tissue work needs to be tailored to the individual as what is deep for one person may not be so for another. For this reason it is important to communicate what you are feeling physically with your therapist during treatment.
